What you'll study
This four-year course combines a foundation year with an honours degree in Psychology, preparing you to start a career in the field. You'll usually begin with introductory modules covering cognitive, social and biological psychology, alongside research methods and statistics, the foundation for understanding how psychologists work. In Year 2, you'll move into cognitive psychology, social and developmental psychology, and more advanced statistical techniques. From Year 3 onwards, you'll choose specialist options such as clinical psychology, forensic psychology, neuroscience, child development, and health psychology. You'll also study individual differences and psychopathology, and complete an empirical dissertation, your own supervised research project from design through analysis to write-up.
