What you'll study
This degree is practice-led and focuses on developing practical and analytical skills across human biosciences. You'll usually begin with foundations in anatomy, exercise physiology and sport psychology, alongside applied coaching sessions. In your second year, you'll typically progress to biomechanics, physiology of training and research methods, learning to analyse technique, test athletes and design studies. By your final year, you'll specialise in areas such as strength & conditioning, nutrition, rehabilitation, coaching or PE teaching, whilst completing an independent research project. An optional professional placement year gives you the chance to apply your skills in real-world settings with teams, clients or schools.
