You'll study visual communication and design practice through a structured progression from foundational skills to specialist expertise. Year 1 covers visual principles, colour and composition, materials and making (print, textiles and digital), and design history. Year 2 develops your personal studio practice through sustained projects, introduces digital and emerging media, and engages you with live client briefs and real-world collaborations. By Year 3, you'll specialise in an area such as graphic design, illustration, fine art, fashion and textiles, or UX and digital design, whilst building professional practice skills and preparing a self-directed final major project for the degree show.
