This course combines property market analysis, valuation, planning and development with a year out work placement. You'll usually start with construction technology, built environment economics and surveying fundamentals. In your second year, you'll study project management, construction law and contracts, then move into stream-specific modules in cost planning or building pathology. By year three, you'll choose specialist options such as quantity surveying, building surveying, construction management, BIM & digital construction, or real estate, whilst working towards professional practice competencies. A dissertation or major project based on a live industry problem forms the capstone, preparing you for chartered surveyor membership.
