What you'll study
This degree immerses you in the fusion of creativity and technology in games design and development, equipping you with practical skills to work in the field. You'll normally progress from foundational design principles, colour, composition and form across digital and physical media, through workshops in materials and processes. Contextual studies situate your work within art and design history. In year two, you'll develop sustained studio practice and explore digital and emerging media, including creative software, motion, 3D and interaction design. Live briefs and client projects introduce real-world deadlines. Throughout, you'll build a personal direction, with optional pathways such as graphic design, illustration, fine art, fashion and textiles, and UX and digital work. The course culminates in a self-directed final project showcased in a degree show.

International tuition is set per course by FCT; international fees are typically £12,000–£30,000/year for classroom subjects and higher for lab/clinical ones. You’re not eligible for UK Tuition Fee or Maintenance Loans, so plan for fees plus living costs upfront.
