What you'll study
This course prepares you for careers in coaching, coaching support, coaching management or teaching. You'll build from foundations in how the body adapts to training, through sport psychology and applied coaching skills. In Year 2, you'll develop analytical and scientific expertise in biomechanics, training physiology and research methods. By Year 3, you'll pursue specialist options such as strength & conditioning, sport psychology, nutrition, rehabilitation, or PE teaching routes, whilst undertaking an applied placement with teams, clients or schools and completing an independent research dissertation. The progression moves from understanding sport science principles to applying them in coaching and athletic contexts.
