What you'll study
This HND in Dance focuses on practical performance and creative development within a specialist performing arts context. You'll usually begin with foundational performance training, technique classes and ensemble work, alongside music theory and analysis. As you progress, you'll move into more specialised study, such as performance, composition, music production, musicology, music education, and ensemble projects, with increasing opportunity to develop your own artistic voice. Teaching and community engagement form part of the curriculum, building skills for future work in the arts. The course builds towards a final project or public performance that demonstrates your learning and artistic vision.
