What you'll study

You'll study core biological science from the cellular and molecular level upwards. A course like this normally moves from foundations in cell biology, genetics and biochemistry, through molecular biology and physiology, to specialist options in your later years. You'll gain practical lab skills, data analysis and scientific writing from the start. In the second and third years, you'll typically progress to research methods, lab projects and specialist options such as biomedical science, molecular biology, ecology and conservation, biotechnology, microbiology, or neuroscience.
