On this course, you'll study the core principles and practical skills of mechanical engineering, progressing from mathematical and mechanical foundations towards specialist options. A course like this typically moves from Year 1 fundamentals, engineering mathematics, mechanics and materials, and design skills, through Year 2 discipline-core modules such as thermodynamics or circuits, engineering analysis and computing, and a group design project.
