What you'll study
This MPharm degree combines theoretical and clinical training to prepare you for practice as a pharmacist. You'll usually begin with biomedical sciences core content, anatomy, physiology and pathology, alongside clinical and communication skills from early on. Population health and professional ethics run through the early stages. From years three onwards, the course moves into clinical rotations through hospital and general practice settings, with specialty attachments such as surgery, general practice, psychiatry and research. You'll undertake student-selected components for deeper study in areas of your choice, often involving research. The final year includes practical assistantships, an elective placement, and integrated assessment leading to professional registration.
