What you'll study

This course includes a foundation year, allowing you to build strong scientific fundamentals before progressing to pharmacology. You'll typically begin with biomedical sciences, anatomy, physiology and pathology, alongside clinical and communication skills. Early on, you'll learn to take patient histories and engage with ethical and public health principles. In years 3 and 4, you move into clinical rotations across hospitals and general practice, with attachments in specialisations such as surgery, general practice and psychiatry. You can also pursue research through intercalation or undertake clinical placements.
