This course equips you with the skills to work with people experiencing mental health difficulties, building a comprehensive understanding of clinical psychology in practice. You'll usually begin with foundations in research methods, statistics and core psychology, covering cognitive, social and biological perspectives. In Year 2, you'll deepen your knowledge of how people develop and behave, and advance your statistical and qualitative research skills. From Year 3, you'll pursue specialist options such as forensic psychology, health psychology, child development and neuroscience, whilst studying individual differences and psychopathology. You'll conclude with an empirical dissertation, your own supervised research project from design through analysis to write-up.
