You'll develop a visual design practice from foundations through to specialist work. In your first year, you'll build visual language through colour, composition and form, work with materials and processes, from print to digital fabrication, and study art and design history that informs contemporary practice. Year 2 moves into sustained studio practice, exploring digital and emerging media such as motion, 3D or interaction, alongside live client briefs with real deadlines. In your final year, you'll typically specialise in areas such as graphic design, illustration, fine art, fashion and textiles, or UX and digital, develop professional practice skills and build a portfolio, and complete a self-directed major project exhibited in a degree show.
