This four-year course includes an integrated foundation year to build your scientific fundamentals before progressing to biomedical sciences. You'll usually start with core anatomy, physiology and pathology taught by body system, alongside clinical and communication skills from early on. As you progress into years 2–3, you'll move into hospital and GP placements across medicine, surgery and specialties such as clinical placements, general practice, psychiatry and paediatrics. Alongside rotations, you'll have student-selected components to explore areas of particular interest, often with a research focus.
