This course combines sport science with applied nutrition and exercise practice. You'll usually start with core foundations: anatomy and exercise physiology, introduction to sport psychology, and practical coaching skills across different sports. In your second year, you'll move into more technical study, biomechanics (analysing movement using lab and video methods), physiology of training (testing and programme prescription), and research methods in sport science. By year three, you'll choose specialisations such as strength & conditioning, sport psychology, nutrition, rehabilitation, coaching or PE teaching routes, complete an applied placement working with teams, clients or schools, and undertake an independent research project or dissertation.
