What you'll study
This course combines the study of Gaelic language, music and cultural traditions with practical musicianship. You'll usually begin with foundational work in visual studies, design principles and materials across a range of media, alongside contextual studies in art and design history. From Year 2 onwards, you'll develop sustained studio practice and explore digital media, taking on live briefs and collaborative projects. In the final year, you'll specialise in a chosen pathway such as graphic design, illustration, fine art, fashion and textiles, or UX and digital practice, whilst working towards a self-directed final major project culminating in a degree show. Throughout, you'll build a personal artistic direction informed by both technical skills and critical thinking.
