Course in depth
What this course covers, who it suits and where it leads.
What you'll study
In this four-year degree, you'll study how hospitality organisations work, their structure, culture and management. You'll usually begin with foundations in management, marketing and business economics, then progress to operations, supply chain management, and how to lead and develop people. By year three, you'll typically choose specialist pathways such as entrepreneurship, international business, digital business, consulting, marketing, or people and HR. Throughout, you'll work on strategy and competitive analysis, before culminating in a capstone project or consultancy brief that draws together your learning. The course builds practical understanding of how to analyse industry challenges and apply management tools to real scenarios.
Who it's for
This course suits school leavers and career-changers interested in hospitality, hotel management, events or food and beverage operations. Most accepted students held A-levels or equivalent qualifications; typical entrants had a UCAS tariff of 144–159 points. You'll need to be comfortable with full-time study and ready to engage with both practical and theoretical aspects of hospitality management.
