This course teaches how science influences the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. You'll usually begin by studying biomedical sciences core content, anatomy, physiology and pathology, typically organised by body system, alongside clinical and communication skills from the outset. Population health, epidemiology and professional ethics run through early study. As you progress, you'll move into clinical rotations across hospital and general practice settings, with attachments to specialisms such as surgery, psychiatry, paediatrics and general practice.
