Chances are, if you’re based in the UK and are currently pursuing an apprenticeship, or looking into embarking on a similar adventure, you’ve heard about National Apprenticeship Week.
What is National Apprenticeship Week?
Held for an entire week every year, National Apprenticeship Week is a celebration of apprenticeships.
During this week, you get the chance to truly understand what makes apprenticeships so appealing, what benefits they offer and what you can do with the skills you have at hand. As an added bonus, you get to hear from people who have been in your position before. Essentially, you’re guaranteed to get an authentic window into the world of apprenticeships.
National Apprenticeship Week: 2025 date
This year, National Apprenticeship Week spans from the 10th to the 14th of February 2025.
The theme of the 2025 National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week has a different theme each year. The 2025 theme is “Skills for Life”.
This year, the emphasis is on how apprenticeships can help you develop the skills and knowledge you need, to have a rewarding career. While individual reflection is important when talking about apprenticeships, the companies that offer them reflect too. They reflect on the vital skills they need to succeed as a business, and how they can incorporate those skills into their workforce.

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2025 has still to be announced, but the 2024 theme was ‘Skills for Life’. This previous theme not only allows individuals to reflect on the skills they need for a successful career but also gives businesses the chance to reflect on how they can build a skilled workforce.
Apprenticeship Week 2025 is also being held in Scotland, for sectors that are specific to that country. It has the same principle as National Apprenticeship Week, which is to discuss how apprenticeships are helping individuals and businesses both.
