The university’s main campus, Plas Coch, is located on Mold Road in the heart of Wrexham next to the Racecourse Ground – the oldest international football stadium in the world – the home of Wrexham AFC. The campus, which is home to the halls of residence, Wrexham Student Village, is just a five minute walk from Wrexham General Railway Station and a 10 minute walk from Wrexham city centre.


The campus boasts three modern social learning spaces in The Study, the B Hive, and The Gallery as well as the library, student support centre, student union, and specialist labs for computing, engineering and art and design students. Sports students are also well catered for with the £5m Colliers Park National Football Development Centre and the Wrexham University Hockey Stadium. Health students will also benefit from our healthcare simulation centre that is equipped with a purpose built inspection room and advanced audio/visual technology that enables students to work to be monitored by trained professionals. 


Wrexham is a vibrant city rich in heritage, surrounded by beautiful scenery and historic sites, with a lively centre offering great shopping, cafés, restaurants, culture, and nightlife – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.


Perfectly located on the Wales–England border, Wrexham offers easy access to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester to the east, Snowdonia’s rugged landscapes to the west, and the stunning North Wales coastline to the north.
